American Academy of Art
The American Academy of Art has been educating professional artists
in both the commercial and fine art fields since 1923. Beginning
with a solid foundation of drawing and design, based on the classical
academic tradition, our dedicated and distinguished faculty is
committed to providing our students with artistic skills and knowledge
of contemporary tools and techniques that will enable them to
build a successful career.
Lillstreet Art
Center
Lillstreet Art Center prides itself on being a lively community
of artists working in a non-competitive environment which encourages
and inspires artistic growth in the individual. Lillstreet Art
Center supports the arts through an artist residency program,
gallery, studio space, education and outreach program. We are
dedicated to bringing artists and audience together through our
commitment to promoting, supporting and encouraging the fine arts.
Palette and
Chisel Academy of Fine Arts
The mission of The Palette & Chisel Academy of Fine Arts is
to foster growth in the visual arts, provide a place for serious
artists to work, and enrich the community with programs of art
education, appreciation and exhibitions. In recent times, the
support of the Norris Foundation, the McCormick Foundation, the
Jane Ellen Murray Foundation and the Chicago Department of Cultural
Affairs, a dedicated staff, volunteers and the advocacy of nationally
and internationally recognized artists have helped the Academy
to realize this mission and to expand services and programs.
